Kenya: Building Foundations of Hope

Our recent youth mission trip has demonstrated once again that compassion knows no age limit. When our young people witnessed firsthand the challenging conditions at the children's home, they stepped forward with remarkable generosity.

A Kitchen Crisis Resolved

Upon arrival, our team discovered an urgent situation. The government had mandated that the existing kitchen—located dangerously close to the children's dormitory and deemed unfit for purpose—must be relocated immediately. For the past month, the dedicated staff had been preparing meals on open fires outdoors, battling the elements daily to ensure the children remained fed.

What happened next touched our hearts deeply. Without prompting, our young missionaries pooled their personal funds together to purchase several loads of bricks, providing the literal foundation for the new kitchen building. Each brick represents not just a building material, but a stepping stone toward restored dignity and proper nutrition for the children's home.

This spontaneous act of generosity has accelerated the kitchen construction timeline significantly. While the kitchen remains under construction, the foundation has now been laid—both literally and figuratively. The new kitchen will be properly distanced from sleeping areas, creating a safer environment for everyone at the home.

If you feel called to contribute to the completion of this kitchen project, your donation of any size would multiply the impact our young people have started. Together, we can ensure that proper nutrition remains accessible for these deserving children.

Thank you for partnering with us in prayer and support.
