Kenya: Mlolongo: Perimeter Wall Completion Brings Security to Children's Complex

We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully completed the final perimeter wall at our children's complex in Mlolongo. This crucial construction project addresses significant safety concerns that had been identified in this challenging slum environment.

Prior to this work, three sides of the complex were secure, but the exposed fourth side presented considerable risks. After careful assessment, we began construction to complete the full enclosure, creating a comprehensive security solution for the vulnerable children we serve.

The completed wall now provides a fully protected space where children can learn, play and develop without unnecessary exposure to external threats. Staff members have expressed profound relief at this development.

Local authorities have also recognised the positive community impact of this improvement. By creating safe spaces within challenging environments, we help nurture areas of opportunity and development for all.

With the perimeter wall now complete, we can focus on further enhancing the facilities within this secure environment. Plans are already underway for additional resources that will flourish in this protected space.
